Home.
My roommate Mollie shared this video with me a few weeks ago. These two are pretty much the greatest daddy-daughter duo that ever existed! At least watch a little bit of it, I promise it's worth it.

Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

Believe.
Last year over Christmas break I made the first permanent decision of my life... I got a tattoo! After much thought and lots of prayer I decided to get the word believe tattooed on my foot in a cursive print. I had initially thought that believe was appropriate because it means to have a firm religious faith. But now, a year later, the meaning of my tattoo has turned into so much more. Seeing believe on my foot so often has made me question what exactly it is that I have found to be true... so what is it that I believe? Hmm, let's see.
I believe-
Jesus has overcome the world , being silly makes you live longer , God's plan for us is bigger than the plan we have for ourselves, everything happens for a reason, in giving second chances, even the smallest prayers are heard, experience makes us stronger, forgiveness is everything, true love does exist, God puts certain people in our lives for learning purposes, in taking chances, no person is better than the next, everyone deserves to love and be loved, laughter is the best medicine, what comes around goes around, a simple apology can make the biggest difference, and finally greater things are yet to come.
Maybe you agree, but maybe you don't. These are the things that I believe, the ideas that I am certain exist. But my opinion, well it's just one in a million. What do you believe in? What little reminders get you through your toughest days? What beliefs do you feel so strongly about that would be worth a permanent mark on your body? For me, it's all of the above.

The search is on.
One of my best friends from home started this unbelievably, amazing blog. I highly recommend that you check it out and cheer on Kathryn as she finds out the secret to life. Do it, you know you wanna!

a friendly little reminder.
This past weekend was one of the most beautiful weekends that Knoxville has seen in a while. Literally everything was perfect. The weather felt like spring, campus was filled with smiles, and I was able to comfortably wear flip-flops.. what could be better? While I was on my way to Market Square with a dear friend of mine we came across this friendly little reminder. This simple postage sticker inspired me to begin this blog, sounds crazy huh? "Find Your Purpose"... it really got me thinking. I'm not necessarily expecting this blog to pinpoint the direction of my life, I'm just hoping to gather my thoughts and share them with y'all. Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky and have an epiphany or something. I guess only time will tell. Happy reading!
